Rain, rain, go away! A drawing.

Last Saturday, it rained in Bengaluru. So the game was made shorter: just 9 overs for each team. Ishan Kishan hit 30 runs from only 10 balls! But then the rain came back and did not stop.

Nobody won the last game. Each team had won two games, so it was a tie.

Women win 3–0

India’s women played three T20 games against Zimbabwe, and won them all!

A tough day for the Blasters

Kerala Blasters lost 4–1 to NorthEast United. Their first home game is tomorrow, 25 October, in Kochi.

Why can’t they play in the rain?

A wet ball is slippery and hard to grip, and a wet ground is easy to slip on. The ball also skids and bounces in strange ways. So the ground staff cover the pitch to keep it dry.

Coming up: hockey!

India’s men’s hockey team starts the Asian Champions Trophy on 27 October, in Punjab. Their first game is against Bangladesh.
